Smart Crowdfunding is slated to carry out strategic marketing initiatives for the 'Grove' crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. The campaign endeavors to raise the funds needed to bring the world's first social speaker to market.
Calgary, Alberta , September 23, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Rami Ghanem, a talented seventeen year old entrepreneur, launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign on September 2nd in order to introduce his newest invention to the public. This campaign has a funding goal of $30,000, which needs to be raised by November 1st in order to make his Grove Speaker a reality. This speaker is basically a party in a small box, because with Grove anyone can add their own musical playlist to the mix. In fact, hundreds of people can contribute their own music which makes it the world’s first truly social speaker.
The Grove is a small and lightweight (230 grams) wooden speaker that will be available in three types of wood: Regular Oak, Red Mahogany and Dark Walnut. The creators’ state, “We chose to use wood as our main design because of how it sounds through the speakers. Wood provides a soft edge for music waves to amplify.” The team has worked very hard to make certain their speaker provides a high quality of sound, as well as being easy to operate. Grove works by using a combination of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology as well as the Grove app which is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. The Grove owner can use the app in order to open access to their speaker and enable anyone nearby to join the party. Adding music to the list can be done in two ways: by sending a playlist from your Bluetooth enabled device or by streaming the music through streaming services.

The Grove team has completed the basic design of the speaker, and has created it to be very durable, waterproof and break resistant. They are currently fine-tuning the design, and getting ready for the final prototype and app development so they can launch the manufacturing phase. In order to raise the funds needed to finalize the process and take the Grove to market, the team has launched their Indiegogo campaign. To encourage contributors they are offering several perks to their supporters.
